Mid 2016 Office Building Sales through the property tax lens

Crains NY recently published NYC's biggest commercial transactions for the first half of 2016. We wanted to look at a few of the larger sales and compare their assessments and related taxes. There doesn't seem to be a correlation between purchase price and real estate taxes. The reported income seems to be more in line with the taxes as illustrated by this summary.
