Microsoft's Solution to the Email Attachment Conundrum

Microsoft's Solution to the Email Attachment Conundrum

We've all been there – drafting an important email, ready to send, only to be stopped in our tracks by that all-too-familiar warning: "File too large to send." It’s a modern-day inconvenience that can throw a wrench in our productivity.

However, the tech wizards over at Microsoft have taken note of this widespread annoyance and are gearing up to offer a solution that will change the way we think about email attachments.

Believe it or not, the "too good to be true" updates are, in fact, coming to fruition!

According to a recent announcement on the Microsoft 365 roadmap, there's an ingenious integration underway. Microsoft aims to bridge the gap between Outlook and its cloud storage platform, OneDrive. This means, once you hit that pesky size barrier with your attachments, Outlook will suggest uploading your file to OneDrive, ensuring your recipient can access it without any hitches.

First in line to enjoy this feature? Android users! But for the rest of us, the countdown has already begun, with the rollout slated for this month.

The days of having to downsize, compress, or even forsake sending your large files are numbered. And the best part? There's no need to rely on third-party services, which sometimes pose security concerns. Thanks to Microsoft, smoother emailing horizons are on the way.
