Microsoft has just concluded their largest annual event, unveiling a host of announcements about Copilot. Among these, several updates specifically related to PowerPoint stand out. Here’s what you need to know:
- Copilot will soon be able to generate slides that not only use your corporate template layouts but also incorporate additional brand assets like icons and photos. Everyone, this is huge. However, don't get too excited. Let's see it to believe it.
- Copilot will also be capable of creating a presentation structure directly from a script you've written in Word. Will that be the reason why people finally start preparing their talk first and then turn to PowerPoint to support the key points with visuals? Maybe...
- Finally, Copilot will be able to rewrite texts and add speaker notes. Okay, some potential productivity gains here as well. Not as exciting as the first two features, though.
All of these updates are scheduled for Q1 of 2025.
