Microsoft SQL Database Engineer

Fathallah Beit el Gomla (FBG) currently has a vacancy for a Microsoft SQL Database Engineer to work in our head office branch Alexandria.

Primary Responsibilities:

·        Manage SQL Server databases 

·        Configure and maintain database servers and processes

·        Monitor system's health and performance

·        Ensure high levels of performance, availability, sustainability and security

·        Analyze, solve, and correct issues in real time

·        Provide suggestions for solutions

·        Provide 24x7 support for critical production systems

·        Perform scheduled maintenance and support release deployment.

SQL Server DBA requirements and qualifications

·        experience as a SQL Server administration is a must.

·        experience SQL server programing (T-SQL) is a must.

·        experience with backups, restores and recovery models is must.

·        experience with Performance Tuning and Optimization (PTO) is a plus.

·        experience of High Availability (HA) and Disaster Recovery (DR) options for SQL Server is a plus.

·        experience with Windows server is plus.

·        Understating SQL server replication is a plus.

·        Understating SQL profiler.

·        Sense of ownership and pride in your performance and its impact on company’s success.

·        Critical thinker and problem-solving skills

·        Team player

·        Good time-management skills

·        Great interpersonal and communication skills

·        MCTS, MCITP, and/or MVP certifications a plus

·        Familiarity with any programming languages
