Microsoft Reimagines Modern Application Deployment With Radius Platform

The Azure Incubations team at Microsoft has launched a new application platform called?Radius?to deploy and run modern applications in Kubernetes, public cloud, and edge environments.

Radius is an?open source project?that initially supports Kubernetes, Azure, and AWS runtimes, with other cloud environments such as Google Cloud Platform in the pipeline.

Mark Russinovich, CTO of Azure, the brain behind Microsoft’s cloud platform, is the architect of Radius. Mark, along with?Scott Guthrie, EVP at Microsoft, refactored the original Windows Azure to make it a compelling public cloud platform that could take Amazon Web Services head-on.
