Why Microsoft Fabric?

Microsoft Fabric is the perfect platform for managing your data efficiently and cost-effectively. Thanks to its deep integration with the Microsoft ecosystem, it provides all users a seamless and optimized experience. Key benefits include:

Assessment of Solutions | Business and technology validation

We conduct a comprehensive assessment to validate whether Microsoft Fabric is the best solution for your organization, both from a technology and business perspective. This ensures that the platform is aligned with your goals and needs.

Data Strategy | Clear roadmap for data strategy

We define a strategic roadmap that will guide the implementation of Microsoft Fabric in your organization. This detailed plan provides a clear and practical roadmap for developing a robust data management and analytics strategy.

Use Cases | Visualization of relevant use cases

We identify and demonstrate the most relevant use cases for your organization, ensuring that Microsoft Fabric addresses the specific challenges and opportunities facing your teams and processes.

Resources and costs | Equipment dimensioning, times and costs

We assess the resources required to implement the use cases, including equipment sizing, execution times, and costs involved. This ensures that the project is carried out efficiently and in line with your needs.

Platform Integration | Compatibility and integration with existing data platforms

We validate and facilitate the integration of Microsoft Fabric with the data platforms you already use, such as Databricks and Snowflake, optimizing their co-existence. This ensures that you can take full advantage of the capabilities of your current infrastructure while adopting new Microsoft Fabric features, such as OneLake data ingestion and Data Sharing strategy.

Platform Migration | Migration of Power BI, Synapse and Datawarehouse solutions to Microsoft Fabric

We facilitate the migration of your existing data platforms, such as Power BI, Synapse, or any Datawarehouse to Microsoft Fabric. This process includes transferring data, adapting business logic, and optimizing reports to take advantage of the advanced capabilities of Microsoft Fabric, improving performance and data integration on a unified platform.

How do we do it? Three Customized Scenarios

Lakehouse Scenario

For companies without a previous data platform, we implement an end-to-end use case by generating PowerBI reports from different sources.

The pilot will include:

  • Ingest system to OneLake.
  • Creation of a semantic model and data layer in Fabric.
  • Development of reports in PowerBI.
  • Integration with Microsoft Purview for data governance.
  • Enabling a Data Marketplace for adoption of self-service BI strategies.

At the end of the pilot, a more concrete plan can be created to turn Microsoft Fabric into your corporate platform.

Lakehouse Scenario and Delta Tables

If you already use Databricks, we evaluate how Microsoft Fabric complements your current architecture.

The pilot will assess:

  • Create a Microsoft Fabric environment that coexists with Databricks.
  • Consume Databricks gold layer data from Fabric.
  • Run PowerBI reports that consume the data through Delta tables.
  • Evaluate performance using Fabric versus consuming from PowerBI directly to the gold layer.
  • Advance the Data Sharing strategy by extending Databricks’ Delta Sharing capabilities with Microsoft Fabric’s GraphQL.
  • Enable a Data Marketplace to adopt a self-service BI strategy and empower business teams.
  • Integration with Microsoft Purview Data Governance to advance the Data Governance strategy.

Lakehouse Scenario - Migration from Synapse or other Lakehouse/Datawarehouse

We’ll migrate an existing use case based on PowerBI to Microsoft Fabric.

During the workshop phase, the use case will be defined by understanding its data sources and business logic.

The pilot will allow:

  • Employ shortcuts in the ingest system to focus the pilot on business logic.
  • Architecture medallion with notebooks in Spark.
  • Develop a gold layer with simple business logic.
  • Develop a semantic model with gold data in Fabric.
  • PowerBI reports consuming the semantic model.
  • Demonstrate SQL Endpoint for data analysts.
  • Advance Data Sharing strategy by extending Delta Sharing capabilities of Databricks with GraphQL from Microsoft Fabric.
  • Enable a Data Marketplace to adopt a self-service BI strategy and empower business teams.
  • Integration with Microsoft Purview Data Governance to advance the Data Governance strategy.
  • At the end of the pilot, it will be possible to create a plan to convert Microsoft Fabric into your corporate platform.
