Microsoft does Microlearning

I am always on the look out for great online training for digital skills which I can direct people to, so I don't have to reinvent the wheel and create training, when there is content already out there. So it was great to come across some great micro learning content from Microsoft itself for 3 reasons:

1. Its from the author of the software so its likely that all the latest features are included in the training, you aren't getting something from 3 or 4 years ago from someone who thinks they know about Microsoft software.

2. Its an acknowledgment from Microsoft that people do really need to learn how to use these tools better and that is not going to happen by osmosis in a software update.

3. Its Micro learning not Microsoft Product Manager Learning which is them banging on about how great their product at a geek level and assuming you regularly tune in or watched the other 39 episodes of their Product Focused Webinar. This way in 2 to 3 minutes you can learn something about a tool that although you may know it pretty well already, you can eyeball the modules on stuff you perhaps don't know, be that exploring apps and tools within Teams or how to create formulas in Excel.

You can find this training at https://www.microsoft.com/en-gb/athome/digitalskills/improve/

Here is a screenshot of the main modules as you'd expect:

And here the modules in the Micro learning on teams:

There are lots of other resources there too as well as the opportunity to become a MOS, thats a Microsoft Office Specialist which is run by an external training partner Prodigy Learning.

So well done Microsoft keep up the good work.
