Microsoft Certificate Passing Tips - 100% Guaranteed!

This week, I was more into helping our development team, as we are at the peak of delivering our solution.

Today, I am not going to write any technical article, thought to have a break and give you guys some tips that I followed to pass my recent Microsoft certifications (Az-305, Az-104, Az-900).

If you are looking for a change in career to any of the new trending technical stack, then taking an external certification would be the first step towards your goal.

I remember, I attempted MongoDB DBA certification sometime back in 2018, I studied a lot but failed. Later, thinking of writing a certification, was kind of a nightmare ??.

In 2021, I decided to change my technical stack to Azure, mainly targeted to become azure solution architect expert.

I learned how to prepare for exams and easily pass any certifications during this journey. Trust me, it's really easy!

Let me jot down the important points here for you. Here, I am going to take Microsoft certification as an example(this is applicable to any certification)-

1. Decide on the career path that you are planning to go for. In my case, it was Azure solution architect expert.
2. Start with the fundamentals always. Since, cloud technology was totally new to me, I decided to start with AZ-900(Azure fundamentals).
3. Always start with the exam guide. I went through the exam guide thoroughly and noted all important modules that I need to study.
4. I went with self-paced learning materials provided by Microsoft.
5. Since, self-paced learning path is very theoretical, I started working on the labs as instructed by Microsoft .
6. In parallel, whichever topic I felt difficulty to understand, I started watching videos majorly sponsored by Microsoft. Shows | Microsoft Learn
7. Other parallel activities that I used to do along with the self-paced learning are - Udemy videos(based on highest rating) and solved practice tests provided by Microsoft. I tried solving random online exam questions as well.
8. Once you are done with the fundamental exam, follow the same studying pattern for the advanced certifications. (Point#3 to 7)
9. Be consistent in studying, daily I used to spend minimum 2 hours; maximum 4-5 hours on weekends. Please note: this time duration depends on the exam scheduled date.I targeted to pass the certificate within 2 weeks(for AZ-900) & 1 month for AZ-104 & AZ-305).

So, set a target and go for it in your own self-paced way.

I am a kind who likes to complete the task whatever decided asap ??

Please note: Even though the heading of this article points Microsoft certification, this same pattern can be followed for any other technical certificates.

Conclusion

Believe me, if you are determined, consistent & have an urge to learn, then passing certifications is like grabbing just a piece of cake.

At this point, I can clearly understand why I didn't pass MongoDB DBA certification. My studying strategy was totally wrong!

Without prior experience I was able to crack AZ-900 & AZ-104, after having 6 months experience working as Azure architect, I cracked AZ-305. That too, all in first attempt. If I can do, you all can definitely do it!

I missed to point out one of my inbuilt habit (good or bad not sure), but it works for me... I will always have a notebook next to me to jot down all important points. Thats my weakness pen and paper??
