Microdosing Stillness

Finding stillness in our busy and often overstimulating lives can be a challenge, but I believe it's essential for our mental and emotional wellbeing. For me, stillness plays a critical role in achieving a sense of calm and presence that grounds me.
There's so much noise around us all the time, that makes it feel impossible to find that presence. If we can cultivate the ability to be more centered and grounded, we can find stillness even in the midst of chaos.
One way I've incorporated stillness into my daily routine is by practicing breath work simply by breathing through my nose and closing my mouth. This helps me clear my mind, focus on my body, on the present, and set a positive tone throughout the day.
If you’d like to learn more about breath work and where I’ve learned my breath work techniques. I cannot recommend enough the Inside the Inspired podcast episode with Dr. Dimitri Polyakov, we talk all about the power of conscious breathing and its effect on your mind and body.
By cultivating stillness and presence, I've felt that I've been able to enhance my relationships, improve my work, and increase my overall sense of fulfillment.
I share this because I used to think these strategies were overrated. When the reality is, I found ways to implement practices that work for me and align with my values. Not too much or too little, but something consistent, micro, and actually, well, effective.
I encourage you to find something that works for you as well.
