When it comes to researching the property market, it can be difficult to work out which indicators really matter.
Is it better to concentrate on a smaller geographical area and dig deep or should investors rely on big data?
Researching micro-indicators means focusing on small geographical details such as a suburb or postcode. Big data, on the other hand, is the accumulation and processing of large amounts of data that one human would struggle to consider.
“The ‘big’ in big data is the number of different data sets rather than the size of the geography those data sets might be for,” explains Jeremy Sheppard, creator of DSRdata.com.au.
