Micro skills for mediators

Last night I had the privilege of meeting Allan Parker from Peak Performance. He demonstrated the micro skills needed by all mediators to engage with parties, develop relationship and encourage dispute resolution. Although he presented this as skills for professional speakers, in my opinion, the skills of  using verticality, timing of questions, control of parties,  ability to make pictures, attendance to the unspoken needs of people and  his use of his body language to make connections are the skills required by anyone involved in dispute resolution. If you ever have the chance of spending time with this incredible person, grab it!!  https://www.dhirubhai.net/post/edit/6417589020452356096

So true, and so important to the trust dynamic in mediation.
