Surprising? Not really yet it is such a widely used management style.

In my experience, when things are going well, the narrative is "you can work where you want", "of course it is no problem"..... As I always say, it is easy being great whern things are going well.
BUT, when there is a "backs against the wall period of time", instead of holding the line, there is a panic. And leaders believe that micro-management is going to fix everything.
Yet, the fallout from this style of management is enormous?

I know, I know, it is tough when we are up against it, but let these numbers from the poll give you a hint about this approach.
And by the way, if you are doing it as an exit strategy, be brave and just have the conversation.
