Thank you for taking your time reading this article on Microlearning Pros & Cons .

I have mentioned below points based on my experience & hopefully it will give some insights to you all for way forward .


Pros : -

  1. Fits into busy lifestyles
  2. Quicker path to relevance
  3. Shorter length of video/content to encourage learner to go through quickly
  4. Supports & Provides reinforcement/supplement of the content
  5. Provides social learning objects>engagements
  6. Relatively low effort, low cost content
  7. Leverage volunteer subject matter experts
  8. Support new business models/Subscription series
  9. More Customized contents
  10. Opens up in mobile/social as a channel

Cons : -

  1. May create some noise
  2. May be too short to brief to support learning goals
  3. can require significant context effort
  4. To the point & there will be no series of content at single point of time
