Micro-learning is the method of the future: How new innovations have made training and learning more effective than ever

Making training easier to absorb has always been a part of our practice. As the shifts and challenges of today accelerate, our programming and instructors have adapted to engage diverse audiences with limited learning time.? But what if, instead of fighting the factors affecting our audiences' ability to grow, we embraced them? Enter: Micro-learning.? Micro-learning is the concept of courses processed into modules that fit how we consume content day to day. In bytes. When we want to. Where we want to.? Add a layer of user experience design to formatting, and you're "gamifying" for a good cause–personal development. Lessons are only as long as they need to be. Our micro-learning is:

  • Approachable:?5 minutes/day is a low bar! Learning that fits into bite-sized chunks just works better for many learners and use cases.?
  • Effective:?Short bursts of learning with (day) breaks in between improve attention and knowledge retention by capitalizing on our natural working memory span.
  • Accessible:?No travel, stairs, or bandwidth limitations–It boils down to text. Even when further info links keeners to rich media, it can be downloaded to process later.
  • Empowering:?Learn when it's convenient (In line at the pharmacy? Early riser? Night owl? Whatever is best for your brain.)?
  • Trackable:?Keep track of your progress on lessons and whole courses.
