Michael Katz , Developer Alliance Manager AMD , joins me for an interview at NAB 2022 covering Virtualization for Everyone!
Michael unvieled accessible and powerful on-prem virtualized desktops enabled with a Lenovo ThinkStation P620 host with 64 core Threadripper PRO 5995WX, Ubuntu KVM (no hypervisor license), four workstation graphics cards (1 GPU per vm, no subscription required), and Mechdyne TGX Remote Desktop software.
The Lenovo ThinkPad P14s (AMD) guest laptops were easily able to drive smooth 4K and 6K media editing experiences through the virtualization-ready Avid Media Composer | Cloud VM.
I enjoyed meeting Michael Katz and the AMD team at NAB2022. The new computing system that creates a local private cloud on premises is a smart design. We will dive into computing and new #Creators #Gear as we kick-off this new show.
