For art collectors and art aficionados of contemporary art, Miami's Art Basel is the place to be seen which runs from December 5-8. With satellite fairs, art workshops and talks, tons of parties, and previews, there’s plenty around the city for both locals and visitors to enjoy and experience.
Expect more than 250 of the world's leading galleries to participate with attendance boasting more than 70,000 visitors each year.
This year guests can expect 20 new artists from Latin America which include artists from Buenos Aires' Barro Arte Contemporaneo. There will also be a new exhibition curated by Magali Arriola, the director of Museo Tamayo in Mexico City.
As always, the hotels will host a series of events including the Nautilus by Arlo which will host Arlo Beach Club starting December 3. Guests can expect performances by top DJs and celebrity emcees. The Box, a theater arts group based in New York and London, will perform, among other artists and entertainers.
Another event to check out will be at Rakastella on December 7. Dance the night away with house and trance music from 3pm-7pm with a lineup that includes Jayda G, Palms Trax, Ben UFO, Oona Dahl and KiNK. The party takes place on Virginia Key Beach Park.
