Decentraland comes to Miami Art Week
The approach of December in Miami means it's time for Art Basel, the most comprehensive international contemporary art fair in North America. This year, Decentraland and the metaverse in general will be taking part! Here's a round up of?what's happening?in Miami this coming week:

DCENTRAL Miami - Web3 Festival Conference

This event will be streamed inside the MetaTrekkers Clubhouse: -69, -139. Each year DCENTRAL Conferences organizes the largest Web3 conference during Miami Art Week with over 5,000 attendees. This year they’ve returned to downtown Miami to bring all of Web3 together during the largest art festival in the US. Join them via stream!
Heart of Okeanos

Celebrating Art Week Miami Beach, Heart of Okeanos is the brainchild of Ximena Camino and Petroc Sesti. Mimicking the actual heart of a stranded blue whale, this sculpture by Petroc Sesti was carefully designed for the creatures that inhabit them. Crafted in CarbonXinc—an experimental material capable of sequestering significant quantities of greenhouse gasses—and seeded with living corals, the giant artwork will become an idyllic haven for marine lifeforms and a powerful guidepost as other artists and environmentalists chart their own conservation journeys.
In collaboration with the project, the Decentraland Foundation presents a digital version with a dynamic environment, where the Heart of Okeanos sculpture transforms in real time as per the data collected from the oceans. The digital version is built by the artists Juan Pablo Colasso, Bence Vargas and Guido Elgueta, with production support of Agustin Di Luciano, and development of William Caine III.
