Myanmar Military Helicopter Downed
A Myanmar Air Force Mi-17 helicopter was reportedly downed early today between Nahpaw and Kagam mountains, Waimaw Township, Kachin State, Myanmar, during a flight from Myitkyina Airport to Kagam Mountain, resulting in the loss of all three occupants. The helicopter, engaged in a combat mission, was hit by an FN-6 MANPAD fired by the Kachin Independence Army (KIA), leading to its complete destruction. Ural Airlines Emergency Landing
On January 3, 2024, a Ural Airlines Airbus A320-214, registration RA-73833, made an emergency landing in Volgograd, Russia, while en route from Moscow to Makhachkala due to technical issues. The aircraft, in service since December 2004 and acquired by Ural Airlines in March 2013, safely landed at approximately 11:50 with all passengers unharmed and awaiting a replacement aircraft from Sochi.
