Two army officers from Mhow Cantonment, along with their two female friends, went for a picnic at the Army's shooting range near Jam Gate, a popular tourist spot near Mhow. The tragic incident allegedly took place between Tuesday night and early Wednesday morning. These two officers, who were part of the Young Officers training programme at the Infantry School in Mhow, found themselves at the center of a horrific event.

Around 2 a.m., in a desolate jungle area, six criminals, described as intoxicated and violent, brutally assaulted and raped one of the women for over two and a half hours. The sheer brutality of the act paints a horrifying picture of what transpired that night.

The attackers, likened to "vampires in human form," continued their savage attack despite being informed that the victims were army officers. The audacity and cruelty of the crime have left a scar on the conscience of society.

The police have since arrested three of the perpetrators, who have confessed to the crime. The medical examination of the victim and her identification of the culprits are pending, after which the judicial process will move forward.

The brutality of this crime demands swift and severe punishment. These criminals, who have behaved like wild animals, must face the harshest consequences. In a civilized society, there is no room for such heinous acts, and the government must ensure that justice is served swiftly and decisively.

How should such vampires be treated?
