MEYBA X San Francisco City Football Club
MEYBA and San Francisco City FC have officially launched the club’s 2025 home kit following the announcement of their partnership in September. The collaboration marks a significant milestone, as SF City FC introduces the first standard, traditional home kit in its 24-year history.
The newly released home shirt boasts a striking California gold stripe running down the centre. Designed with performance and style in mind, the kit features dashed zig-zag detailing along the sides, enhancing its bold aesthetic. Utilising MEYBA’s omni-move technology, the shirt incorporates stacked MEYBA and SF City FC badges, a classic crewneck collar, and striped cuffs, creating a unique yet timeless look.
Founded in 2001, SF City FC has been a key player in San Francisco’s football landscape. The club initially competed in the San Francisco Soccer Football League (SFSFL), the oldest continuously operating soccer league in the United States. Demonstrating remarkable success, SF City secured back-to-back championships and promotions in 2003, 2004, and 2005.
By 2014, SF City became the oldest community-owned football club in the country, reflecting its commitment to supporter engagement and local identity. In 2016, the team joined USL League Two, the fourth tier of American soccer. More recently, in 2024, the club partnered with San Francisco’s public transit agency, Muni, in a groundbreaking sponsorship deal.
Founded in Barcelona, Spain, in 1981, MEYBA quickly became a global name in football apparel. The brand achieved international recognition after securing a historic agreement with FC Barcelona, becoming the club’s first official kit supplier. During this partnership, MEYBA’s iconic ‘M’ was worn by legendary players such as Diego Maradona, Michael Laudrup, Ronald Koeman, and a young Pep Guardiola, all managed under the visionary Johan Cruyff.
Today, MEYBA continues to supply kits to professional clubs and international federations across Europe, the USA, Africa, and South America, reinforcing its reputation for quality and innovation.

“In our 24 years we’ve never had a consistent home kit, so after our 2023 season, we asked our supporters if we should have a standard, traditional home kit. Over 80% said yes. Throughout the summer they voted on what this kit would look like, top pattern, ratio of colors, short colors, and down to the socks. The winning look was a predominantly iron shirt featuring a wide gold stripe down the centre, resulting in a style uniquely our own.”
