MEXICO HAS IT ALL
As a foreigner living in Mexico for more than 5 years and director at Taste & Travel, I’d like to share with you my passion about this beautiful country, not only from the landscape but also from the people, history, traditions that all Mexicans are and should ever be so proud of.
Mexico is much more than a beautiful beach in Cancun, Vallarta or Los Cabos. It’s a country that offers different experiences in every region: from its magical towns such as Bernal, Cholula, Taxco, Valle de Bravo, UNESCO heritage cities such as San Miguel de Allende, Puebla, Guanajuato, Queretaro, Morelia, Zacatecas, ruins and archeological sites such as Teotihuacan (Mexico State), Palenque (Chiapas), Monte Alban (Oaxaca), Chichen Itza (Yucatan), Haciendas that date as far as the XVI century, exclusive & boutique hotels and the list is endless.
What can we say about its gastronomy? Declared in 2010 Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity, Mexican cuisine is an important aspect of the culture, social structure and popular traditions of Mexico. According to UNESCO: “Traditional Mexican cuisine is a comprehensive cultural model comprising farming, ritual practices, age-old skills, culinary techniques and ancestral community customs and manners. It is made possible by collective participation in the entire traditional food chain: from planting and harvesting to cooking and eating.”
