Mesh in Microsoft Teams

First of all, what is Mesh??

Intelligent recap included with Copilot for Microsoft 365 license

With a Copilot for Microsoft 365 license, you now gain access to Intelligent Recap for Teams as part of your package. Utilize Intelligent Recap post-meetings to obtain a comprehensive summary of the session. This summary features personalized timeline markers, facilitating easy navigation through recordings based on when you joined or exited, screen-sharing moments, and instances where your name was referenced. Additionally, you can navigate recordings by speakers, chapters, and topics, and access AI-generated meeting notes, tasks, and direct links to name mentions within the transcript.

Decorate your background

Enhance the fun and personal touch of your meetings with "Decorate Your Background." Now, meeting participants can elevate their appearances even when their workspace might not be optimal. Using generative background effects in Teams, "Decorate Your Background" empowers users to leverage AI to spruce up their real-world surroundings. Whether it's tidying up clutter or adding virtual plants to a wall, this feature adds flair and polish to any environment. Access to this capability is granted to users with a Teams Premium license.

Simplified audio and video controls

The audio and video fly-outs in meetings are tailored to streamline and enhance the management of your audio and video settings within Teams meetings. Now, selecting your preferred camera or microphone device is simplified, as you can directly choose the right device from the fly-outs. Moreover, you have the flexibility to adjust volume, spatial audio settings, and noise suppression controls from the audio fly-out. If you haven't chosen your background during the pre-join screen, you can effortlessly modify it directly from the camera fly-out. Additionally, avatars are now accessible from the camera fly-out, allowing you to incorporate them into your meetings. Furthermore, brightness and soft focus adjustments can be made conveniently from the camera fly-out as well.

Enable People Recognition with an intelligent camera

The Teams desktop client has a new enrolment process that allows you to create a face profile by enrolling your face. The face profile helps Teams Rooms with an intelligent camera that can do People Recognition. This feature can identify the people in the room and show their names to everyone in the meeting, whether they are in the room or not.

Automatic updates for the Teams app on Android-based Teams devices

Teams app updates on Android-based Teams devices will be automatically deployed without requiring any manual intervention. Administrators have the capability to oversee these automatic updates by categorizing devices into update phases or temporarily halting the rollout, if necessary, through the Teams Admin Center.

Synced updates for Microsoft Teams Rooms on Android devices and paired consoles

When Microsoft Teams Rooms on Android devices are updated from the Teams Admin Center, their paired consoles will get updated in tandem, ensuring a seamless experience.

Manage Microsoft Surface Hub as a Teams Rooms on Windows device

With the transition of Microsoft Surface Hub devices to the Teams Rooms on Windows platform, Admins can now manage Surface Hub devices as Teams Rooms on Windows devices in the Teams Admin Center and Teams Rooms Pro Management (available for Teams Rooms Pro license customers).
