Metrics say traction is slower than you hoped. Now what?

If your metrics say that progress is steady, but slower than you hoped, you have a choice. You can be positive, enable people to keep doing the things they find satisfying, and hope things pick up and results will get better. Or you can ennoble, rather than enable - and challenge colleagues, contractors and strategic partners to lift their game and accelerate traction rather than coast on what's only partially working.

As an ennobler, you can be the leader who helps a colleague take success to a higher level, rather than settle for what they already do easily and fluently. You can be the leader who uses frustration and impatience as a call to action, rather than an insult or attack. You can be the leader who shapes a culture of accountability, rather than a leader who compromises on safety, quality and adoption of new dramatically better standards of care. You can be the leader who steps up and makes a difference, rather than the leader who keeps a lid on things until a crisis erupts that could have been prevented.

If you have the courage to see what the metrics are telling you - and want to make traction go even better and faster - an ennobling dialogue is how to Make Courage Contagious. So difference-makers around you see what you see, step up and act.

According to Israel's former President Shimon Peres (z"l), inpatience and frustration with the rate of adoption is a virtue - if you know how to PowerUP aspirations, rather than complacency. Showing a colleague there's room for improvement doesn't have to be contentious. And, if the discussion does get heated, the friction doesn't have to be toxic - if you know how to keep an ennobling uplifting dialogue on track, even when you face blame, excuses and other risk-averse derailers.

Dr Louise Yochee Klein and Dr Merom Klein equip high-potential business leaders to get more traction - with ennobling dialogues, based on key metrics that their Work OS tracks. If you'd like to expand your influence, reach and the culture of accountability you create to improve standards of care in your inner circle, see how a free Courage Leadership Quest can mobilize more of the support you need to make a difference.

Absolutely agree, Merom! A courageous leader not only pushes for improvement but also inspires the same courage and determination in their team. Keep up the great insights!
