Metrics That Matter

How many profile views do you have? How many followers? How many candy bars have you eaten in your life? Some scores are more important than others. Am I going to post how many connections I have? It is more than the thirty-two I had when given the opportunity to write articles nearly seven years ago.

I do not care how many connections someone has. A size queen berated me for mentioning these metrics don't matter. If I were so small as to have to mention the number of connections I had in my headline? It remains to be seen if I would change my headline if I were a published author.

No one reads my articles so should I shell out money to self publish so others could ignore that book? I don't need the validation of saying I am an author. Writing more articles than anyone on this site means little or nothing.

I did very well on many jobs including my current one. It didn't stop Human Resources from acting like I was entering kindergarten while exploring a new opportunity. Maybe I should pay the Shield app to tell me what my articles and comments are worth.

Maybe not. There is a rapper whose name describes my value to LinkedIn. His name? 50 Cent. He took that nickname as a metaphor for change. I took it because I am worth two quarters.

Prove me wrong. I don't care how much imaginary money my body of work is worth. I receive sex spam every day where attractive women want one thing. They are always naked and have access to professional lighting when their pictures are taken.

The only four letter word beginning F experienced with these "I want to see your profile" (further proving that profile views are meaningless) bots is "Fake." What numbers matter? My credit score. It isn't 850. It was higher than expected when checked.

The unreleased idea from this iconic article- another one I dare you to plagiarize- I wondered if would be more impressive to send pictures of your credit score. If it were that simple? I would have a line of women around the block.

Trying to compromise my credit score, ironically. I don't mind spending to continue an evening. Dating is deceptively expensive. No one is asking and at this point? I would date one good one rather than a different woman every night.

Next week on Beggars Can't Be Choosers? I shall describe other totals and their value. I was surprised to see that I have stayed over one hundred nights in Marriott properties. I love travel. It seems odd to think I spent over three months in hotels.

Lifetime status is attained when one reaches four hundred composite nights. I care about the number of miles flown on my airline. Over two hundred fifty thousand? That actually seems low. It's time to prepare the next flight.

Travel is always important. No one cares the cities I have visited. They might enjoy hearing about experiences and comparing notes. I was always fascinated with others and their accomplishments. I shall end by showcasing a man met through Luke Matthews. He posted his dislike of the suspension.

I agree. His headline mentioned that he is in bottom ten percent of profile views. He also mentioned he is a husband and father. I have more respect for a family man who treats colleagues well than someone who brags how many followers they have. I did not check his profile and had a nice exchange. That is important, far more than a Social Selling Index.

Since they decided I do not "Engage With Insights" (what on earth have I been doing in comments and articles?) that number will never rise above sixty. Even if I bought Sales Navigator? No one I work with uses this site so I cannot bore you with technical jargon. Next thing you know? I shall expect this article to be in the top one percent of whatever.

They stopped giving out that participation trophy. In December I shall release my Top One Percent. The best thirty articles out of the three thousand I shall have written by then. Writing and cultivating ideas is it own reward.
