Brief Introduction

Methyl tin mercaptide is one of the three kinds of Organotin(methyl tin, butyl tin, and Octyl Tin). It is a transparent, clear, and viscous liquid with good compatibility with PVC(polyvinyl chloride ). It is a key stabilizer in the PVC heating process with very good pre-stability and post-stability, product transparency, high compatibility with other additives and raw materials, and excellent weatherability than other metal heat stabilizers.

It is compatible with weak polar oils such as C8-C12 fatty alcohol, C8-C12 fatty acid, phosphite fatty alcohol ester, and oil. It is non-flammable and has a low freezing point, it is a viscous liquid even at-20 ℃.

Methyl tin mercaptide is the most potential organotin product in the field of PVC extrusion, calendering, blow molding and injection molding because of its simple process and low cost.

The production method is as follows: Metal Tin is methylated with chloromethane under the action of temperature 210-240℃, pressure 1.0-1.3 MPA and Amine Phase-transfer catalyst, after disproportionation reaction, the content of trimethyltin chloride was controlled to be less than 0.1%, and then reacted with isooctyl mercaptoacetate. Organotin industrial varieties are mainly divided into methyl tin, butyl tin and Octyl Tin. Because of its simple process, low cost and excellent performance, Methyltin is the most potential organotin product. Applied to PVC extrusion, calendering, blow molding and injection molding of various products, with excellent initial coloring, transparency and thermal stability, polyvinyl chloride is a key additive for thin films, sheets, plates, granular materials, pipes, fittings and profiles.

The mixture of dimethyl Tin Mercaptan and Methyl Tin Mercaptan is mainly used in industrial products. The weight ratio of Mercaptan to dimethyl Tin Mercaptan is 20:80, and the stability of Mercaptan is excellent, dimethyl Tin Mercaptan exhibits better late stability. Methyl Tin Mercaptan is approved by US FDA (21CFR 178.2010) and BGA (II A, 4C). It can be used in food packaging materials and water pipes. 2.1 Raw material properties:

Colorless fuming liquid, cubic crystal when solid; melting point -33℃, boiling point 114.1℃, density 2.226g/cm3; volatile, fumes due to hydrolysis in humid air; soluble in some non-polar solvents, and it is good for some non-electrolytes (iodine, phosphorus, sulfur, etc.) Solvent. Tin tetrachloride dissolves in water, undergoes hydrolysis and precipitates alpha stannic acid, continues to add distilled water to form pentahydrate tin tetrachloride, which is dissolved in water and ionized to produce [Sn(H2O)]54+ ions. It is soluble in water and emits a lot of heat. It is soluble in alcohol, carbon tetroxide, benzene, toluene, gasoline, etc.

2.2 Storage method:

3. Methyl chloride

3.1 Raw material properties:

6.1 Raw material properties:
