METHODWORKS IDEAL CLIENT (A.K.A. COLLABORATOR)

Every business should have an idea of their ideal client (customer), who they would love to work with or provide their product/service to. In this blog, we outline the six key elements we look for in our perfect collaborators. You don’t need to be all of these, yet if you fit at least one of these, you will put a smile on our faces!
1. CLEAR AND FOCUSED
We love our collaborators to know what they want and why they want it. With a clear vision and an idea of its purpose, it helps us to understand and develop your briefs and turn them into fully realised productions. This means you will also be able to communicate your ideas and requirements adequately without ambiguity. You know the results you are aiming for and have outlined the steps of how you will get there.?
2. COMES IN GOOD TIME
Collaborators who are well organised, plan ahead. They get prepared for good results. Good timing is all about knowing when to contact your service provider. You will have your brief developed to a stage where you can answer all pertinent questions. Your production is a future project and does not need to be rushed and completed by tomorrow. You appreciate the time it takes to produce your content and have factored this into your timeline as well, in the knowledge that your deadline meets the expectations of your project.
3. UNDERSTANDS AND APPRECIATE OUR METHODS
Aligning with your service provider is vital. As part of our screening process of collaborators, we request that you have some idea of and acknowledge our methods, our processes. The majority of these are overviewed in our Service Level Agreements you receive before you engage with us. You realise this is a collaborative team effort, that great communication and key information should flow both ways and most importantly that your target audience are the most important factor in producing your video, producing and creating something they need to see. You appreciate that we are well experienced and know what we are doing with your best interest in mind.
4. REALISTIC
Whether you are experienced in the video production process or this is your first time, being realistic in a creative process is essential so that your expectations are met. This is why planning is so important. Acknowledging the time it will take to begin a project and to see it through to completion, setting a budget that will fulfill all of your requirements, knowing your end goal and how you will get there will all aid you in creating a satisfying experience.

5. CREATIVE
We love collaborators who challenge the status quo and who think outside of the box. Being innovative in the creative process is exciting and great things are produced through challenges that break the pattern of the everyday. It does not need to be extreme and risky, if it’s something we’ve never done as a production company before, it drives us into new learnings which are valuable.
6. POSITIVE AND SEEKS IMPROVEMENT FOR THE WORLD
?Collaborators who are aligned with our own morals and values, our ideals and are also seeking for improvements that will change worlds. Positively focused and keen to be solution orientated, these kinds of clients are an absolute joy to work with.
