Enhancing Gas Infrastructure: Project completion at a Lancashire prison

In a bid to fortify gas infrastructure and ensure reliable supply, our Gas connections and infrastructure team recently concluded a significant project in collaboration with our Asset Condition team at a Lancashire based prison. These works aimed to equip the prison with a new intermediate pressure (IP) parallel metering supply and installation, marking a milestone in bolstering the facility's energy framework.

The project commenced with meticulous planning and coordination to seamlessly integrate the new infrastructure without disrupting the prison's operations. One of the key achievements was the establishment of a new 7bar IP gas connection to the parent main. This involved precise execution to adhere to safety protocols and regulatory standards while effectively enhancing the gas supply network within the facility.

Integral to the project's success was the installation of a comprehensive suite of components, including a new IP gas service, meter module, base, kiosk, and outlet pipework connection. Each element was carefully selected and implemented to optimise efficiency and durability, ensuring long-term functionality and performance.

One notable aspect of the project was the ability to execute all installations without necessitating a gas shutdown at the prison. This not only minimised disruption to ongoing activities within the facility but also underscored our team's expertise in executing complex projects with precision and efficiency.

A significant benefit of the project lies in securing the customer's gas supply for years to come. By installing an upgraded new meter module, we have provided the prison with a robust and reliable infrastructure that aligns with modern standards and regulations. This enhancement not only enhances operational reliability but also instills confidence in the facility's energy infrastructure, contributing to long-term sustainability and efficiency.

The successful completion of this project underscores our commitment to delivering innovative and sustainable solutions tailored to the unique needs of our clients. By leveraging our expertise and collaborative approach, we have not only met but exceeded expectations, paving the way for enhanced operational resilience and reliability at this facility.

Looking ahead, we remain dedicated to driving excellence in infrastructure development and energy solutions, empowering our clients to navigate the evolving landscape of energy management with confidence and efficiency.
