I see the notification pop in front of me and immediately put on my VR glasses. I accept the call.

I think I would need someone to give me a kick in my pants!

Imagination has never felt so beautiful more than what it feels right now, right here! The endless possibilities of thoughts and ideas have finally gotten a space to game on and as an amateur it excited me more than ever!

I stand clueless there - in the metaverse, debating in my head “Oh is it really there or what?.” And though I know for a fact that this is the reality yet I have to keep reminding myself that even this reality is crafted!

I walk my way - scrutinising this incredibly inspiring view.

Everything you could possibly think of doing was being done here. People had their avatars representing them in this space. It looked like some science fiction movie just got poured into reality.

Interesting, isn’t it??

And that’s just not the end!

You could work, shop, play, learn, create!

And though this was something we have been doing for quite some time on web 2 but web 3 promises much more - it makes you feel much more present, much more expressful.

Imagine you putting on your glasses and instantaneously a virtual version of you is created in your workspace and no matter whether you wear your favourite set of track pants at home, the meta world has it all sorted for your digital avatar. You could shop for items, purchase goods and try playing around with shades and clothes and themes for your avatar. Sit at your home and get your avatar go to your office. Let it deliver the presentations. Save yourself the time of commuting. You feel together with your colleagues in this shared workspace.

And it’s not only about work. Play and fun and games excite me even more than that!!

If I would have to find a word that is closest to metaverse, I think gaming would be the one! Gaming is in itself an immersive all day experience - the quality which forms the heart and soul of the metaverse! With the help of metaverse, you could now bring games into your everyday life. Imagine what would it be like to be in the kingdom of demons and fight like a superhero out there!! It definitely gives me goosebumps to get this experienced first hand! You could interact with players all around the world and play anywhere- and when I say anywhere then yes it means we could play even underwater or in the sky high above!

You want to study or maybe learn something interesting?

Well, go ahead! Teleport yourself to the life 2000 yeas ago, get the rhythm of it! Bring the moon next to your balcony and count the craters on it!

Imagine what would it be like to live in this new place, this new world, with this new way of life !!

It’s my day 1 here in the meta world and it haunts me - the power of technology, the power of the developers and the creators of this space.

They wouldn’t stop anywhere.

Apparently they have been given a new dimension to express themselves and though this seems very real yet the irony bounces back - it’s artificial; created by the same hands who once were only concerned about food and water and sleep and nothing else. Truly the greed of more and better has taken us far from those primitive times to this era of gadgets and devices today. And now seeing this getting created - a new world, I wonder how far we gonna go. Maybe we don’t want to stop. Maybe the real world wasn’t so much fun and good and satisfactory and we now have poured all our expectations into a fictitious world. I wonder whether it would quench this empty desire or end us up in a terrible way - wherein we are losing sense of our presence, our identity, our space and we don’t have a f*cking clue of what is actually we’re diving into.

I have fascination in my head and anxiety in my pockets.
