Meta has announced the addition of new generative AI tools for advertisers, enhancing text and image generation, creative expansion, text overlays, and centralizing AI tools within Ads Manager. Here’s what creatives should know:
One significant update focuses on image generation, building upon Meta's year-long experimentation with AI-generated images for ad campaigns. The revamped image generation process now allows advertisers to create full image variations based on their original ad creative, along with conversational prompts, Meta's AI can generate enhanced backgrounds, visual styles, and entirely new presentation approaches. This includes expanding visuals to better fit multiple surfaces.
Meta is expanding its ad text variation feature to include headline variations. This allows advertisers to experiment with alternative headline displays in addition to the main ad text, helping them craft better hooks for their ads based on successful formats used by other brands.
Additionally, Meta is introducing text overlays for ad content aimed to enhance advertisers' ability to use AI tools effectively in their campaigns, with product images remaining central to the display.
To streamline accessibility, Meta is consolidating all AI tools under its Advantage+ creative tab in Ads Manager, providing advertisers with easy access to every generative AI feature in one place. This organizational change makes it simpler for advertisers to explore and utilize Meta's AI tools, improving their campaign strategies.
