THE METAPHOR OF PROTESTS...

THE METAPHOR OF PROTESTS...

Are Nigerians protestants? Well, protests, agitations, demonstrations etc are all types of expression. Better than the violent. Permitted by  the stretch of liberty in a democratic clime.  The "media push" for the scaling down of the allowances of the Parliamentarians comes to mind; the gist :the allowances are unsustainable and unearned. But such earnings are in other sectors in various shapes and sizes. All the protests are metaphors for systemic change not sloganeering change. It is a job for thinking leaders in all levels of governance in Nigeria. Systemic change that permeates not ad hoc.  A system that delivers justice, equity, prevents corruption, convicts culprits, aids growth and development. Not a police system. Lets think.

You are right my brother. We must all be ready to make sacrifices for a better Nigeria.
