Meta New AI Chat bot on WhatsApp: How Businesses Can Leverage it
Meta is testing an AI chat bot integration on WhatsApp. When this feature is fully launched, WhatsApp users from around the world will be able to communicate with the chat bot and get answers to questions, generate images or logos without leaving WhatsApp.
I tested this feature on my WhatsApp and here's what I discovered;
Like most AI tools, Meta AI crawls for information from search engines and websites.
While displaying an answer to a question, the tool references the website where it got the information from. It also adds a link to a Bing search (Microsoft search engine) if you want to do more research.
You can use the Meta AI tool to generate social media images and get ideas for a business logo.
I asked the AI a couple of questions. While most of the answers were correct, some were wrong.
The wrong answers happened because a web publisher posted a wrong information online and was ranked by Bing. This is why search engines like Google recently began ranking websites based on the experience and expertise of the author, the authority and trustworthiness of the website (EEAT).
As a small business, how can you position your business to benefit from this?
Here's how you can do so;
1. Get a blog for your business and get ranked on search engines
The tool crawls for information from search engines and references the website where it got the information.
Now, Imagine that 10,000 people are searching for the service you render daily and your blog pops up. That's 10,000 free eyeballs daily, way more eyeballs than any optometrist will ever see in a single month.
A well optimized blog positions your brand or services to be easily discovered by search engines and AI.

2. Partner with other Content creators
Starting a new blog can be time consuming and you don't get a reward instantly. Some times, it takes 6-12 months or more to rank for some search queries.
As a business owner, you can reach out to content creators who already have authoritative blogs in your niche and write guest posts for them or tell them to review your products or services.
If that post ranks on search engine, you get free traffic from both the search engines and AI tools.
3. Install pixels on your website/blog
Pixels are codes used to track the activities of visitors on a website. With pixel trackers, business owners can display their products or service to visitors even when they leave the website.
Perhaps you sell furniture and a prospect lands on one of your product pages, you can display that furniture to them while they are on Facebook, Instagram, YouTube, and their favourite websites through remarketing campaigns.
The customer gets to see the product everywhere and when they are ready to buy, the only product they can think of is yours.
This is not possible without installing pixels on your website.
4. Run Remarketing Campaigns
When customers land on your website from search engines or AI tools, most times they are in the research phase and not ready to buy at that moment. remarketing to them keeps your business top of mind until the customer is ready to make a purchase.
If you do not run remarketing campaigns, your blog might point them to the solution they need, which is usually a service or product you offer, then they may buy from somewhere else when they are ready to buy because they could not remember your brand.
