??Meta Gen Z makeover??OpenAI $157 billion ?? AI podcaster meltdown
Meta’s Movie Gen examples just hit the web and it lets you use text to create and edit realistic videos with sound.?
It’s pretty impressive, here’s an example of a video w/edits:
Movie Gen isn’t available to the public yet. Neither are the Orion AR glasses that Meta demoed at Meta Connect – a 100g pair of AR glasses that have the largest field of view yet.?

OpenAI's $6.6 billion VC round (largest ever)
Meanwhile, OpenAI raised $6.6 billion in their latest funding round, putting their valuation at $157 billion. It was the largest VC round ever. This happened just after CTO, Mira Murati resigned, along with OpenAI’s VP Research and Chief Research Officer.

OpenAI also launched their Realtime API – which enables fast speech-to-speech interactions.
You can see an AI voice assistant that Twilio developers already built using OpenAI's Realtime API and Node.js right here:
AI podcasters have “existential” meltdown
This podcast is worth a listen and it’s not because the AI podcasters are self-aware (they're not). The AI-generated podcast from Google’s NotebookLM sounds way better than expected – it's a lot like two people having a real conversation.
You can read more about how the creator prompted NotebookLM to generate this – it wasn't the most common result.
