Your stories in more detail:
?? Facebook feeds flooded with celebrity spam
Thousands of Facebook users around the world reported issues with their news feeds on Wednesday as a glitch appeared to boost posts to celebrity fan pages and groups to the top of timelines.
On Downdetector, an outage tracking website, users posted reports of problems between 07:00 and 09:00 BST.

Many reacted to the glitch with memes mocking Facebook.
Meta, Facebook's parent company, apologised "for any inconvenience" and said the issue was resolved.
A spokesperson told the BBC, "Earlier today, a configuration change caused some people to have trouble with their Facebook feed. We resolved the issue as quickly as possible for everyone who was impacted."
?? After 18 years, Meta’s finally building Facebook a customer service division
Meta is trying to make it easier for its users to get support when their accounts or posts are removed, according to a report from Bloomberg.
The report quotes Brent Harris, Meta’s vice president of governance, who says that the company is “spending a bunch of time on” customer service. Since Facebook’s inception, people haven’t really had any recourse or way to talk to the company about moderation decisions.
?? Instagram is now allowing users to share posts, Reels and locations through QR codes
Instagram is now allowing users to share anyone’s posts or Reels through a QR code. What’s more, users also can share a QR code location through its searchable Map experience. While people usually think about sharing posts through direct messages or a URL, QR codes can be effective in marketing campaigns — for example, the Coinbase Super Bowl ad — and highlighting businesses.
?? Instagram Tests New Optional Switch for its Full-Screen Feed Display
Could more user control be the solution to Instagram’s most recent growing pains?
As part of Instagram’s ongoing quest to negate TikTok through blatant replication, it recently launched a test of a full-screen main feed, which incorporated regular posts, Stories and Reels into a single, TikTok-style display.
?? Instagram's next feature might be a copy of BeReal
Instagram is testing a new feature called Candid Challenges, which bears a striking resemblance to BeReal, a photo sharing app popular among Gen. Z. The currently unreleased feature was spotted by Alessandro Paluzzi, a developer known for reverse engineering apps and finding early versions of upcoming updates. An Instagram spokesperson confirmed the feature is an "internal prototype," but declined to provide additional details.
?? Instagram tightens default content settings for teens
Instagram announced the platform is rolling out a feature that defaults accounts for new users under 16 years old to “Less,” the most restrictive setting for Sensitive Content Control. Teenagers already on Instagram will get push notifications “encouraging” them to opt-in to the heavier filtering on what the algorithm shows them across Search, Explore, Hashtag Pages, Reels, Feed Recommendations, and Suggested Accounts.
The “Standard” setting in Instagram only lets users see some content deemed sensitive, while the “Less” option tightens the restrictions even further, and the “More” option allows users to see more sensitive content or accounts than the default settings. While users over 18 years old typically have access to “Standard,” “Less,” and “More,” teenagers currently only have access to “Standard” and “Less.”
?? TikTok can track users’ every tap as they visit other sites through iOS app, new research shows
TikTok has the ability to track every tap of your screen while you browse in its iOS app, including typed passwords and clicked links, according to new research by software engineer Felix Krause.
In-app browsing refers to any activity on third-party sites that open in the app, rather than in an external window.
?? Elon Musk demands Jack Dorsey turn over Twitter info on fake accounts
Tesla (TSLA) CEO Elon Musk is asking Twitter (TWTR) co-founder Jack Dorsey to hand over documents tied to a legal fight that will determine whether Musk will have to buy the social media company for $44 billion.
On Monday, attorneys for Musk filed court documents showing they had issued a subpoena requiring Dorsey to share documents on Twitter's fake accounts, an issue at the heart of Musk's rationale for backing out of the $44 billion agreement to acquire the company.

?? LinkedIn Improves Search Results For Posts
A series of improvements to LinkedIn’s search system for posts will allow it to deliver faster and more relevant results within a simplified user interface.
LinkedIn details the journey of developing new system architecture while explaining the complexity of its old system.
Search results for posts were previously served by two indexes – one for posts in LinkedIn’s main feed and one for articles.
?? LinkedIn enables tagging in newsletters for Germany
Professional network LinkedIn has launched a new feature that allows German users to mark both people and companies in newsletters.
From the end of 2021, creators and brands have been able to create and send newsletters on LinkedIn. The tool offers users the opportunity to attract fans and followers and to provide them with ongoing content. Tagging people and brands has been possible for some testers in the U.S.A. for some time already.
LinkedIn, based in Sunnyvale, California, is a social network for maintaining existing business contacts and making new business connections. Founded in 2002, the site is available in 24 languages and has over 830 million users in 200 countries and regions.
