Be a Messenger of Hope
In a disturbing series of incidents following the 2024 U.S. presidential election, Black Americans across the country received racist text messages threatening enslavement. The messages, which often referenced plantations and white vans, were sent from a variety of phone numbers and appeared to originate from different states.
The FBI and other law enforcement agencies are investigating the incident, which has sparked outrage and concern. While the exact source of the messages remains unclear, some believe they may have been sent by a foreign entity.
Civil rights groups, including the NAACP, and government officials have condemned the racist messages, highlighting the ongoing issue of racial discrimination and the need for greater unity and understanding.
In a time when there is great potential for society to succumb to fear, anger, and hate, it is incumbent on those of us that desire peace and civility to prevail to act in kindness and pray for peace.
I have said these things to you, that?in me you may have peace.?In the world you will have?tribulation. But?take heart;?I have overcome the world.” -John 16:33
