Messages from Water

This past week I experienced flooding for the first time in my life. I grew up in Lebanon where rain was plentiful but never in the torrential nature that we had in Dubai on Tuesday, April 16. I spent a total of 6 hours on the road that day at times thinking I would never make it home. Thankfully while many houses in the area were severely damaged, our home survived.
Through the years of transformational work I have done and my resulting elevated sense of presence, I have learned never to take events at face value but to look beyond, to the symbolism and meaning of situations.
To move from a reactive state during a time of crisis where fear is rampant to a creative state of love, creativity, and hope, I learned from my teacher Lisa Doig to ask transformational questions and the one powerful question that always comes back is "What is the setup in this upset?" in other words, "What is the gift in this difficult situation?".
I know it's hard to train our minds to focus on the gift when the situation is particularly difficult. Sometimes the gift can only become clear much later. One gift that was immediately obvious this past week was the power of community, and how in difficult times, we all come together to support each other. We have seen some truly heroic acts of bravery over the past few days and now Dubai is basking in the sunshine once again.
But there is a deeper gift in the meaning of water as illustrated in Masaru Emoto's book titled "Messages from Water and the Universe".
“Water records information, and while circulating throughout the earth distributes information. This water sent from the universe is full of the information of life...”― Masaru Emoto
In Masaru Emoto's groundbreaking work, Messages from Water, he explores the enigmatic impact of human consciousness on water.
Masaru Emoto’s experiments involved exposing water to various verbal, written, and musical expressions, then freezing it and examining the aesthetic properties of the resulting ice crystals under a microscope. His findings were compelling; water exposed to positive affirmations formed beautiful and complex patterns, while those subjected to negative influences appeared visibly distorted and chaotic.

The implications of Emoto’s research are profound for understanding the spiritual essence of water. In many cultures, water is seen as a purifier, life-bringer, and a source of rejuvenation. Emoto's findings suggest that water is also a medium that absorbs the energies and vibrations that permeate human intention.
“In the process of falling to the earth, seeping into the ground, and then emerging, water obtains information from various minerals and becomes wise.”― Masaru Emoto
Masaru Emoto’s Messages from Water offers a unique vantage point on the intersection between spirituality and science. By demonstrating how water physically manifests the emotional and energetic vibrations it encounters, Emoto encourages us to consider more deeply the spiritual dimensions of our daily interactions and the environments we inhabit. Water is not merely a resource—it is a sacred element, reflective of our collective consciousness and interconnectedness.
What if the water floods were a symbol of rebirth, signaling a cleansing process that will wash away what is no longer needed and bring a sense of renewal? I wonder if we were to freeze some of the water we still see on the roads from the flood, what type of crystals would we see?
I am hoping my article encourages a sense of curiosity and wonder and helps to cultivate a spirit of reverence and stewardship toward all life, driven by the profound connections shared through the very essence of water. Emoto’s work remains a pivotal reminder of the power of intention and the profound impact our thoughts and actions can have on the world around us.
This is an insightful and original take on the floods. I’ll be reflecting on this article for some time. Thank you!

It’s always interesting to hear the studies done on water and reflect that the human body is more than 50% water. So what does that mean to us in terms of words, and resonance and the frequencies that we are exposed to. Stay safe. ??

In the few days since we started doing this I have begun to feel water's powers to cleanse. Its also dawned on me on how much we waste and take for granted this powerful substance. Let's hope and believe that these events are part of a Greater cleansing and pray that this sets the foundation for a fresh start! ??
