In the wake of the U.S. election, we want to send a heartfelt message of support to everyone who has been part of our journey - whether you’ve joined us at events or plan to in the future. At OutGeekWomen in Tech, our mission feels more crucial than ever.

We remain committed to helping women in tech find meaningful opportunities, working with companies to build strong, diverse, and inclusive workplaces, and amplifying the voices of women professionals so that they’re heard, loud and clear.

With every event like this election, there’s a chance to reflect. Some believe that deregulation in the economy and tech might spark new growth in areas like crypto and AI, offering more opportunities and better lives for many of us in tech. And maybe this moment will remind us of democracy’s true value. We can’t know exactly how things will unfold, but we trust that the resilience of our democratic system will stand firm against any major shift toward authoritarianism.

The tech industry has a powerful influence on society, our politics, and our future. It shapes not only the tools we use but also our conversations, values, and decisions. That’s why having a voice, a genuine, respected place at the table for women in tech - isn’t just a goal, it is a necessity.
