It's time for a candid confession—I regret not leaving my previous employment sooner, and the realization stings deeply.
Why, you might ask?
Well, truth be told, I had a great job—a position many would envy. It offered the coveted freedom, especially with the transition to a full-time work-from-home scenario during the Covid-19 pandemic.
So, why did I walk away from such an appealing situation, you wonder?
Let me emphasize that the company I worked for was exceptional, and my boss, one of the most intelligent individuals I've encountered, was also anastute investor. I genuinely admire his success.
Here's the unembellished truth—though I didn't despise my job, I settled.
?? My biggest regret? I overstayed my welcome.
For 12 long years, I sacrificed my aspirations for a predictable monthly salary. The ache from realizing this, particularly now, cuts deep.
Most would argue, "You've got to trust the process." However, I beg to differ. Fear and a lack of self-belief anchored me in place. I failed to comprehend my true potential and lacked the courage to break free.

Nine months have passed since I finally made the move. And while I lament not doing it earlier, I stand proud—I chose myself. Today, I am the CEO of Customer Centric Kenya, a Training and Consultancy Company that has positively impacted over 30 companies in Kenya and several in East Africa.
This is just the beginning; Africa and the world, brace yourselves—we're justgetting started!
I share this with you, someone potentially feeling stuck in employment despite knowing you are capable of much more.
?? I implore you to choose yourself.
?? I encourage you to embrace courage, unlock your potential, and stride towards your dreams.
Only after I took the leap did I realize I had wings.
Take that leap. Jump!
Sincerely, Jackie Wahome, Customer Experience Trainer
