A Message To Ring In The 2025 New Year

Hi there!

It's Jessica Chen and I wanted to personally wish you a happy 2025!

It's the beginning of a new year and while you might have some fantastic ideas of what you hope to achieve this year, I want to share one of the phrases we here at Soulcast Media often talk about in our communication programs.

Promise progress over perfection.

As ambitious and hardworking professionals, I have no doubt you can get things done. You're reliable and trustworthy. However, I have also seen because we have such high expectations for ourselves, we can be extra critical if we don't achieve that goal, resolution, or promise.

In my book, "Smart, Not Loud: How to Get Noticed at Work for All the Right Reasons," one of my favorite quotes is this: we need to be one less critic in a world full of critics.

From a communications standpoint, which is what we specialize in, the ability to build incredible speaking clarity and confidence takes work and consistency. While you might not feel that instant presentation confidence or fumble over your words and feel frustrated, know it's a journey. (Trust me, I 100% get it too!)
