A Message to Our Community: WineView At Home is Now Available

WineView at Home is Now Available!

WineView is more than just an app that helps you pair wine in restaurants. We’re a movement that opens up the entire world of wine for you. Our goal is to champion this at every touchpoint. With each sip, we want to cut the stuffiness out of wine culture and make its rich history accessible to everyone. That’s why we couldn’t be more thrilled to announce the launch of our newest feature: WineView At Home.?

While I’d love to jump straight into the features, I think it’s important to share how we arrived at our decision to bring the power of WineView to our users’ homes.

We’ve now gotten to the point where we have a fully-functioning wine and food pairing algorithm for over 500 restaurants, with more being added every day. While there are still some user experience enhancements we need to make, this part of WineView has, in an essence, been completed.

What we’ve realized is that we not only have an incredible pairing algorithm but one of, if not the most sophisticated wine and food pairing algorithms in the world. And if that’s the case we asked ourselves, where else can we apply this technology to solve more of our users’ problems?

I’m pleased to say that we found our answer. We’ve taken our same, powerful technology, and made a solution to the age-old problem of what to eat with what you drink and vice versa. Whether you’re trying to decide what to pair with a family feast or a quick mac and cheese on a weeknight, we’ve got you covered.

We’ve been testing this new feature for a few weeks now and have collected feedback from some of our users. We have addressed these and will be working on implementing them in the coming weeks. In the meantime, with our At Home feature you’ll be able to:

-Explore over 120 hand-picked recipes and see our top picks for each

-If you already have wine, let us pick out a meal to cook that will pair with it

-Snap pictures of your masterpiece

Companies don’t get to do big product launches very much. Most of the time is spent building, refining, and building some more, as it should be. That said, when a product launch does come to fruition, it feels pretty awesome. We believe everyone should be able to enjoy great wine. And now, whether you're at a restaurant or your own kitchen, WineView will be there, every step of the way.
