A Message to Harvey Responders

A Message to Harvey Responders

As we hear more and more about the devastation in Texas, we’re also hearing from our DRI Certified Professionals in the field who are responding to this crisis. We are grateful that so many of you have taken the time during this acute phase of the response to check in with us. From notes that you are safe to reports on damage, supply chain issues, and evacuations to promises of many lessons learned, you are demonstrating that our continuity community is rising to the challenges brought on by Hurricane Harvey and the flooding in its aftermath. We have faith in your skills and dedication. We are heartened by your emails and phone calls. We are proud to be associated with such tireless and innovative professionals. And we are here to support you in any way we can.

The DRI Foundation has already issued a call for donations to our Harvey Recovery Fund. We donate 100 percent of the money collected to small, local organizations that will stay on site for the long-term and help mend the fabric of affected communities.

In the meantime, keep the communication coming, and be assured that we will be in touch with you as learnings emerge from what is now an active response. At DRI, we respect that your time is best spent doing your job, not answering our questions. We understand that lessons learned are best collected and disseminated once some degree of normalcy has returned. And while it looks like this may be a lengthy recovery, we are steadfast in our belief that there are success stories that will be shared. We look forward to sharing them with you.
