Message from the Trust Chair - PEPTalk January 2023

Dear colleagues,

Firstly, I would like to wish you all a very happy new year.

I have now taken over as Interim Chair, a role I am very excited to be doing. I am looking forward to working closely with our board of directors, continuing to make sure MPFT is well led and that we are appropriately addressing the important issues that we face.

A new year brings new opportunities for us and I am excited to see what progress we collectively make this year, continuing to enhance our services and improve the health and wellbeing of the communities we serve.

However it does not mean that challenges disappear, I am very aware of the current pressures we are facing and want to express my thanks to all our staff for keeping our services running and keeping our service users safe and well.

I will continue to be the sponsor for the Population Health Management Steering Group and the Equality Data Improvement Project Steering Group. Addressing health inequalities will remain a priority for myself and the Trust throughout 2023.
