Message from the Superintendent: September 27, 2024

Dear Fayette County Public Schools Families, Students, and Staff,? ?

I want to congratulate East Junior High on a fantastic Football Homecoming celebration on September 19, 2024. The excitement and school spirit during the pep rally was infectious, and it was wonderful to see students and staff come together to support the Bulldogs.

A special congratulations to the sixth-grade class for winning the spirit stick and demonstrating their incredible energy and enthusiasm! From the cheer team’s performances to the fun games, the event truly captured the heart of East Junior High’s school pride.

I am proud of the Bulldogs and everyone who contributed to making Homecoming such a memorable experience. Keep up the great spirit and dedication, East Junior High!

West Junior High School also celebrated both the Lions football and Lady Lions soccer teams during their respective games. The Lady Lions soccer team, despite a hard-fought 3-2 loss to Lexington, displayed incredible skill, determination, and sportsmanship. The football team secured a well-deserved victory, with both teams showcasing outstanding sportsmanship and effort until the very end.

The day was extra special as both the soccer and football teams held their eighth-grade recognition ceremonies, honoring the players and their families for their dedication. Additionally, the Lions football team celebrated Homecoming, making it a day full of pride and excitement for the entire school community.

Congratulations to both the Lady Lions and the Lions football team for their tremendous performances and spirit! The entire Fayette County Public Schools community stands behind you, and we are all proud of your hard work both on and off the field. Keep up the great work!

Remember to wash your hands before eating or preparing food, after using the restroom, after coughing or sneezing, before and after treating wounds or caring for someone who is sick, and after handling pets. Washing with soap and water for at least 20 seconds helps keep you and others healthy!

Prioritize attending school daily, as each day provides opportunities to gain important knowledge and skills that will influence your future. Every lesson you learn, every interaction, and each experience contributes to your personal growth. By staying dedicated now, you are building a foundation for success that your future self will be grateful for. ?
