Dear Fayette County Public Schools Families, Students, and Staff,? ?
On Friday, October 25, 2024, the Fayette-Ware Comprehensive High School Wildcats celebrated an exhilarating Homecoming victory, defeating the Mitchell Tigers 12-6. The memorable night featured the homecoming court, spirited performances by the Wildcat band, cheer squad, and majorettes, along with the FWCHS NJROTC, all in front of an enthusiastic crowd, creating an unforgettable experience for Wildcat fans. On Tuesday, November 5, we will have Staff Development Day, with no school for students. Students will return on Wednesday, November 6. Staff development plays a crucial role in shaping our students' futures. It allows educators to receive continuing education about the latest teaching strategies, tools, and best practices. This commitment to professional growth ensures that our teachers provide top-quality education, helping every student excel in a dynamic world.
Beginning January 8, 2025, Fayette County Public Schools will enforce a new school board policy banning cell phones in schools. Under this policy, students will be required to turn in their cell phones and/or electronic devices at the start of the school day and retrieve them at the end. This change will help students stay focused, reduce distractions, and support academic success. For more information about this new school board policy, please feel free to ask.

A healthy eating plate emphasizes nutrient-dense foods like vegetables, fruits, whole grains, and lean proteins, delivering essential vitamins, minerals, fiber, and energy to fuel the body and mind. This balance supports healthy weight management, stable blood sugar, and good digestion while reducing the risk of chronic diseases like heart disease and diabetes. For students, this translates directly into improved concentration, stable energy, and better cognitive performance — key factors for effective learning. Simply put, healthy students are great learners, with the physical and mental stamina needed to succeed academically and thrive in their studies.
Every class you attend is a step closer to achieving your dreams. Showing up consistently means gaining knowledge, skills, and experiences that build toward your goals. Regular attendance is about more than just being present—it's about actively investing in your future.
