A message from our founder

In December 2014, I took a walk down Market Street to ask every person I met living on the streets if they’d like to record a holiday message for a long lost loved one. That’s how I met Jeffrey, who had not seen his family in 22 years and was the first person we helped reunite.

Two years, a few viral videos, and dozens of reunions later – an astonishing 40% of which have lead to stable housing or living with family – I’m honored to still be on that journey, accompanied by Jessica Day (Director of Programs) and so many of you as volunteers, advisors, and friends.

Today, with the holidays approaching and temperatures dropping – and the Miracle Messages mobile app ready in just a few days – we are (finally) at a good place to properly welcome you on this journey with us. This work cannot wait any longer.

After two years of work, Miracle Messages has just launched its first major crowdfunding campaign to empower local volunteers to reunite their homeless neighbors with their loved ones. We're raising $100K to launch a system of local chapters around the world.

If each of us gives just $3, and inspires 3 friends to donate, we will reach our campaign target. And together, we can achieve our ultimate goal: 1 million reunions by 2021.
