A Message From The Heart

This is a slightly different newsletter this month. I don't even normally publish them on linked in (so sign up if you want to catch others perhaps?)
I want to share some stories. And speak from the heart, less from the head.
Simply because I’m overwhelmed by the changes I keep seeing and hearing from in the Be Braver community.
When I first developed the Be Braver mindset, crafting and turning it into a teachable programme, I had a clear ambition: I wanted to change women’s lives.
I wanted to enable anyone, who might find themselves in the unforgiving place I was once in myself, to realise what a difference a shift in mindset could make. To see it?is?possible to change how we experience the here and now. To fear less. To aspire to better. And to inspire themselves and others in the process.
Today I see Be Braver Collective members walking into negotiations with a whole new mindset. Speaking out about discrimination. Speaking up for others. Expanding their businesses. Increasing their fees. Finding self-belief. Changing direction. Choosing courage.
I have always been convinced that, in living up to the Pankhurst name, the way I would create change for the future for other women was to liberate and emancipate the psychological factors that can diminish our sense of freedom and self-belief.
I worked incredibly hard to study, research, model, learn and piece together the means of transforming a life. A life where creating change in the face of adversity, risk and uncertainty does not mean barriers, blockers or staying put.
In this process, I came across something even greater. The Connection aspect of the programme effectively created our community. As courage calls to courage, the Be Braver Collective was born.
I always say that choosing courage rewards us in unexpected ways. And that even when we might not find what we hoped for on the other side, we will always find something that moves us forward.
I am experiencing this myself. In many ways, the growth and responsibility I now unexpectedly face with the Be Braver Collective terrifies me. Yet I have come to understand that the physical responses we read as fear can also be excitement.
Growth and change come with a cost, risk and uncertainty. For a small business like Be Braver, that means financial risk to invest in further growth. But the reward – countless more stories of growth and transformation for future clients & members – is too big to resist.

So, this month I’m being braver again. I’m being honest with myself that facing this growth alone scares me. That the financial risk, as a single parent, is not to be underestimated. Yet it excites me too. Because with every new member come new stories of growth, courage & change.
So, as I personally choose to Be Braver, as our community continues to and as our practitioners on our current programmes learn to, I ask you: Where do you need to choose courage?
If you could fear less, if you could find a better way to choose courage, face difficult conversations and make the hard decisions, what would you find on the other side that you might not have even considered?
What could be there waiting for you that you hadn’t even dared to imagine?
Be brave and ask yourself.
Be braver and ask a friend.
Courage & solidarity always,
Caroline?
