This year has been full of highlights for us at PATOffice:

?? Collaborating with you - be it through exciting webinars, at trade fairs or in joint projects that show how much potential there is in patent data.

?? And now for the year-end spurt (attention: spoiler alert): The launch of PATOffice Analytics, which makes it easier than ever to turn patent data into valuable insights.

Our vision remains clear: patents and technical information should not just be the preserve of experts. They are a key to new ideas, strategic decisions and interdisciplinary collaboration - and we look forward to continuing this journey with you in 2025.

Our Impressions of IP Service World 2024

We were at this year's IP Service World ??

On 25/26 November the time had come. The doors of Holiday Inn in Munich opened for the 14th IP Service World. Two days packed with exciting presentations, both from service providers and from strategic employees from the industry - with academic backgrounds or big names who looked at the big picture. Of course, there was loooots of fun and although we rarely made it away from our booth this year due to increasing interest in PATOffice , it was once again a pleasure to exchange with old and new faces about current opportunities and challenges - sometimes with some cold refreshments, of course ??.

But what exactly do we take with us from these two days?

Our CEO Lukas Kappelsberger has put it in a nutshell in one of our recently broadcasted recap webinar:

• One of the most important topics at a fair like this is clearly the personal dialogue. Transparent conversations with end customers, with other software providers and discussions about our own challenges as well as those of others - we at PATOffice don't want to build a silo in 2025, but are very much open to all kinds of partnerships, because this is the only way we can really make a difference (at least in our eyes)
• Artificial intelligence: well, of course! Artificial intelligence is still a big topic, if not the biggest and with the most presence. The question of AI is part of every single conversation and is no longer a speciality, but a must-have, although it still differs greatly in its area of application and user-friendliness.
• Insights: We may be a little biased here, as it is probably the most prominent topic for us at PATOffice . But we think we are seeing a certain trend here: the use of artificial intelligence is one thing - but even more important is the efficient utilisation of the insights gained and what you ultimately do with them. We believe that insights are only really valuable and relevant if they are evaluated by the right people and then passed on to the right people. Keyword: Interdisciplinary collaboration (also with non-patent-experts / patent newbies ??)

Our brand-new Feature: PATOffice Analytics

Now it's getting colourful ??

It is now possible to create customised dashboards in PATOffice that are tailored to different use cases. With the help of various widgets, relevant data can be visualised with corresponding chart types.

This creates exciting insights that can be read quickly and easily in real time.

A real game changer for quickly analysing the seemingly never-ending flood of patents.

As with all modern software solutions, such a dashboard can of course

• contain any number of widgets that can display data in very different ways,
• which can be moved and rearranged using drag-and-drop to create the best display for you.
• and, of course, can be shared with all possible colleagues using the Share function at the top right.

Good to know: PATOffice Analytics can still be used free of charge by our customers until 31 March 2025.

Analytics snapshots:

A little goodie is added: We integrate so-called snapshots.

Snapshots are snapshots of your data that allow you to visualise a timeline. This is the basis for recognising trends, for example, that might otherwise go unrecognised (and later with AI support). Snapshots can also be created automatically according to a specific schedule.

PATOffice Analytics & AI

The integration of AI into our latest feature was very clear to us. With the help of our PATOffice AI, you can have diagrams summarised and explained and then have the AI output saved as a description for the diagram, for example.

Further prompts for analysing the individual widgets are already in the pipeline.
