Merry Holidays and a Happy New You

Now that Thanksgiving is behind us, it is time to shift our focus toward celebrating Christmas, and looking forward to the new year.

To get your mind in gear, take a few moments to reflect on how your life has unfolded this year, then let it all go: the good, the bad, and the ugly.

Now, it is time for making new memories. Let them be centered on the belief, and expectation, that Life can always be better; that we, can “be” better.

It is important that our focus be on “being” aware that living is a “doing” proposition fueled by emotions, and steered by our thoughts – WG.

Absolutely! Life can always be better, but only when we are better humans. Let’s use this season as another opportunity to be mindful that giving, sharing, helping and being kind, is the path to becoming better; that on this path, we can always be better, and we should always try.

It is to be mindful that enough of us are like this all year long and we “do” what we do for goodness’s sake, and nothing more. If you are one of us, and I get the sense you are, the world is grateful. If you are not, or not so much, the world invites and welcomes you to the path.

When we donate blood, we do not ask, or are concerned, who the recipient will be. What they believe, their faith, their race, or the color of their skin, does not factor into why we give.

It is the same when we donate to our favorite charities. We only know that they are fellow humans in need, and it is all that matters. We are simply being human-Kind.

So, why should this holiday season be different? We are still “being” human, being kind to other humans. It should not matter what anyone believes these times mean, what they name it, and how they celebrate.

We should accept each other’s truths, faiths and beliefs, and behave with respect, consideration and, without harm or judgment. “Being” human, we can all “be” happy together this season and beyond. I believe we can. We just have to really want to.

Of course, kindness and gift-giving during the holidays is traditional and spreads goodwill, joy and harmony in the world, and that’s a good thing.

However, I would like us to, and in this same spirit, extend the same with extra help and care, especially to those who have suffered and lost so much this year. If you are one of these, stay open to Life and expect the best and join in.

We should do whatever we can. There is no measure, or rule to follow. We all have different dispositions. Just keep in mind that “some” is always more than none; that a “little” could mean a lot to someone in need.

Meanwhile, go on. Celebrate your own life and share in the celebration with others celebrating theirs. Let us all spread Peace, Joy, Harmony, and Love, mindful that these are streams that lead to Happiness.

Now…, isn’t this what we all are searching for?

We need also to be mindful, that Happiness has no gender, no race, no color, and no creed. It is always available for all to experience, share and enjoy. “Being” happy is what Life is ultimately about. It is the ultimate human expereince.

Now, I realize I did not have to remind you of this. But, I did because I believe a good reminder is worth repeating.

Look no further, and pay attention to the season greetings we extend to each other, irrespective of the words used. They are words of inspiration and kindness and have one very special and beautiful message in common: They all wish, HAPPINESS. This, for me, keeps hope alive and, I’m sure, makes God smile.

But it all starts with each one of us, right?

? Like ThanxSharing, it is a wonderful time to celebrate. Christmas trees, lights everywhere, lots of gift giving and coming together to celebrate our connectivity and reliance on each other, is a beautiful thing.

Then there is a moment to contemplate 2023; A new dawn, a new year, a new time to take a fresh look into the future of You.

Fortunately, things seem to be coming around and getting better. Many, including myself, are more hopeful, a little less stressed and able to carry on with the business of living the best life we can.?As we do, and moving forward, let us all just live along and get along. Please.

Hopefully, there will be a positive ripple effect on all else that has happened this year. It would allow us to slowly exhale, take a long deep fresh breath and seize the moment to shift our focus toward realizing a better future, and a better Self; A new and happy You.

However, becoming a better Self, a better You, will depend upon letting go of the past and embracing the present with positive expectations about the future; your future, the future of those who love you, those you love, and the world.

But you must start with stepping out of your 2022 Self and into the new You with happiness as a renewed and recurring daily goal. Promise your Self you will.

Start with taking better care of your Self, being kinder to your Self, being grateful for being the only You there ever was, is, and ever will be, and hold close and dear, all that is good and right about humanity, life and living.

Invite someone else to join you on this journey, or to embark upon their own. I’m sure they will appreciate it. My hope though, is that no one travels alone. ??

Together, you will find that your journey will bring other people together as one; one of you, one of me, and one of us. We.

?We, make the world go around, not “I”; so add a little “Us” into your life and thank God that “We” exist, together, right here, right Now -?WG.

Now is always a unique moment, and being in a unique moment, makes you “new” to this moment. After all, it is always true, that it is always the first time we live in this moment, this instant.

From Time to Time, we should drop into our present reality by “being” mindful that we will always never have lived in this present moment before now. The reality is that we are always living on the edge of Time, when?in this unfolding and undiscovered frontier, what is next cannot be known - WG

Do you make New Year resolutions, I don’t? But hey, be You, do You.

Celebrating during the season is a lot of fun, but becoming a better Self is not a resolution for me. It is the driving force of my lifelong journey.

Of course, like you, I have goals, but they too unfold as I do, in Time. I find that the quest to becoming a better "me", makes acheiving my goals, easier.

Only now can I “be”. Only now can I “do”. Only now can I be kind to my Self. Only now can I be kind to you. Only now can I do what I need to do to move on and into my journey toward the happy “me” I deserve to be. To help you to be the happy “you” you deserve to be; the happy world it deserves to be - WG.

So, as unique as we all are…, our journey will be uniquely different, yet familiar. But the goal of experiencing daily happiness will be the same, and so should one of our other goals be, to share and inspire others to seek the same. It is what I hope to do here.

I hope I have inspired you to set upon ,or stay on your own path to becoming a more mindful You, a better You, a happier You; That from now on, you will not just wake up to smell the coffee, but to?slow down and taste Life, one sip at a time. Cheers!!

All in all, Life is about "being" and becoming a better You, living a better Life, a happier Life, being a better You - WG.

It is very important that we be always mindful, that the ultimate difference between our technological connectivity and ?our human connectivity is, Emotion.

Keep in mind that Life is about people being here for one another, and that Love, Compassion, Forgiveness and Happiness are not devices of Modernity. These are attributes of our own natural Humanness - WG.

It’s Now O’ Clock. Time to have a Merry Christmas, Happy Holidays, Happy Hanukkah, Happy Kwanzaa, Merry Holidays and a Happy New You.
