Merry Christmas!
It has become an annual Christmas Eve tradition — it is the final test flight of Santa’s sleigh and they are getting the sleigh ready now to take off on that journey. And what region could be best placed for that test flight than the southern hemisphere, where Christmas always comes a bit earlier?
The sleigh, of course, has been in flight testing mode (functional as well as technical) for months. The elves over at the “Planit” Sleigh Barn have sent test pilots to all our offices (in UK, India, Australia, New Zealand) in all kinds of weather putting Santa’s Sleigh this year through the paces. The early word on Santa’s new sleigh for this year from the performance testing team is that it is fast — very, very fast. It has received the stamp from the security team at Planit too, so we’re all good to go.
"It is fast — very, very fast"
The final test flight is important because it is the most aggressive flight the sleigh takes. Only the best test pilot is chosen to fly this one last flight. Applications for new test pilots are still open, so if you would like to fly the sleigh next year, or if you would enjoy being part of an amazing crew of testing elves, you know what to do.
The final test flight isn’t just for the sleigh. It is also a dry-run for the regional tracking centers set up by the North Pole around the world and for the many millions of testing elves out there who are looking to sharpen their skills.
So, ready, set, GO. Merry Christmas everyone.
