Merry Christmas
With just days to go until Christmas, I’ve been reflecting on this whirlwind year.
?So many projects commissioned and completed; from animated videos, hand drawn infographics, timelapse videos and murals for the NHS to fine art pet portraits and illustrations for individual customers looking for something personal, heartfelt and unique.
?And so many of my own little projects either finished or well underway too.
?There have been some incredible highs, and some heat-breaking and desperate lows.
?But as Dumbledore said, “happiness can be found even in the darkest of times, if only one remembers to turn on the light”.
?I have no doubt that without my family and friends, and the incredibly supportive and inspiring connections and communities I have found online, some of whom have become friends and collaborators, 2022 would have looked very different.
?So here is some light, from me to you.
?I created some snowy animated gifs using my Christmas card designs to share with my friends and family, and I would like to share them with you too.
?If you have festive messages still to send, here is a link to download all seven gifs, to share with your friends and family.
Looking onward to 2023
For most of 2022, I have enjoyed being able to work on art and illustration projects full time, but as the larger projects have come to an end and with the changes to the economy and the ever increasing cost of living, I am looking for an employed role to start in the new year.
?I’ll still be doing illustrations alongside employment, and I have great availability right now while I look for a role. So if looking for something vibrant, engaging and memorable to bring your words, ideas and content to life, get in touch.
?I know funds are tight across the board; for large organisations like the NHS, small businesses and entrepreneurs as well as for us all individually. So I'm offering a 20% discount if you book before the end of December.

Thank you
I know how precious time is, and how we all get weary and wary of giving out our email addresses. And so I am incredibly grateful that you allow me to take up a little bit of space in your inbox each month.
?The engagement I get from this community means so much. Support comes in many forms. I love it when you download the free content I share. Reading and replying to my messages; liking, commenting, sharing and saving my social media posts; these are all things I am so grateful for. In a small business like Thomkat, the emails, the posts, they’re all me, sharing with the world. It’s scary. So when you engage, even in a small way, it makes the world of difference.
?So a sincere and heartfelt thank you from me and my family, to you and yours. We wish you all a very merry (and restful) Christmas 2022.
