M&A landscape before and after the pandemic - Charting New Horizons

Back in 2008 when the global financial crisis struck, it took more than 5 years for the M&A activities to completely recover. However, it was different this time around when the #coronaviruspandemic hit the world. 2021 saw a wave of #mergersandacquisitions happening across the globe.

This month, we hosted an exclusive podcast in association with Deloitte to uncover the various aspects of how the M&A landscape was impacted by the global pandemic.

Co-hosted by Mark Purowitz, Principal, Deloitte Consulting LLP, and Dharmendra Singh, CEO, MergerWare, this podcast offers deep insights into:

What's new in the MergerWare platform?

• Microsoft Teams integration

Seamless and efficient communication amongst all stakeholders lies at the heart of a successful M&A deal. This fact drives us to keep adding new features to help our clients collaborate better and achieve their goals.

After integrating Slack with our platform, we have now integrated Microsoft Teams to improve efficiency and reduce chaos in communication. This means, disseminating deal information is simpler than ever. All updates can be converted to #microsoftteams messages and shared with relevant team members in a jiffy.

• Advanced Virtual Data Room

Regardless of the size, every deal involves huge amounts of critical and confidential information that is constantly changing hands. Hence, data management and data security are two major focus areas for all M&A professionals.?

MergerWare offers a feature-rich Virtual Data Room for safe and secure file sharing. It can help you manage a plethora of documents in a structured manner. MergerWare is an ISO/IEC 27001:2013 certified platform, which means we follow the most stringent data security standards.

We recently added some unique and advanced features to MergerWare’s #virtualdataroom to make file management yet more simple and secure. Deal professionals can easily upload documents at any task level instead of doing it only from the VDR interface. Documents downloaded from the VDR are watermarked with details of who downloaded them, at what time, etc. Moreover, users can easily view the documents inline (wherever they are on the platform) without having to download them.

Now, all these enhancements make a lot of difference for those who work with countless files day in and day out.

History has seen several waves of mergers and acquisitions, and with each wave have come newer ways to make the M&A deal execution processes more streamlined with a focus on deal value creation.

In recent years, the latest technologies like Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning have transformed the M&A landscape.?

We are going to host a podcast in collaboration with 美世 to discuss?how innovative technologies have impacted M&A deal planning & execution processes.?The episode will bring forth expert insights on how modern methods can help improve M&A deal speed, reduce integration?costs, and enhance the deal success rate.

We will have Scott Gardiner, Senior Principal, Global M&A Advisory Services, Mercer as our guest speaker. Dharmendra will co-host.
